With the initial stamp duty holiday now passed, the conveyancing sector has moved to looking at two future deadlines, namely the end of June, followed by the end of September.
Understandably, the focus has shifted onto the ongoing level of work to hit those deadlines, but also looking at the future in terms of how the home-buying/selling process can be improved in the months and years ahead.
There has been a growing interest in the media in the work of the HBSG and its workstreams particularly in relation to the provision of upfront information and how this might make the whole process far more efficient. We’ll continue to push this agenda and the CA’s work in shaping solutions.
